Speaking of Cindy Sheehan, did anyone tell you what Uncle Al said at Uncle Haskell's funeral? After I read my piece, all five of the (living) brothers got up and said something. As the youngest, Al was last, and talked as if he'd just spoken with Uncle Haskell the night before, and told us what Haskell had said to him, stuff like I'm comfortable, I'll miss you all, take care of my family . . . then Al said that Uncle Haskell said he was happy and at peace now because he wouldn't have to look at that Cindy Sheehan's face on TV anymore.

Then Uncle Al sat down. And we were all laughing. It was cool.

By the way, I must say one of the most moving moments I've experienced in recent memory was watching the VFW veterans folding the flag and presenting it to Aunt Sue, and hearing the gun salute. It's giving me chills now just thinking about it. Beautiful.
